The Town Council are very pleased to announce that the one hour free parking has returned to the Thoroughfare car park.
From the 1st August 2016, shoppers and visitors to Halesworth can obtain free parking for the first hour in the Thoroughfare car park.
The Town Council, local traders and District Councillor Tony Goldson have all worked very hard to get the free parking to be reinstated from the 1st August, 2016 up to the 31st March 2017. It is hoped that future negotiations with Waveney District Council will ensure that the free parking will continue after the 31st March 2017.
Please note the free parking only applies to the Thoroughfare car park. The free tickets must be obtained from the machines and displayed in your car. For longer stays, WDC’s normal parking charges will apply.
