Town Centre Survey

Town Centre Survey: In the next few months an important survey of Halesworth’s town centre will be undertaken by the Peoples and Places Partnership. The aim of the research is to help identify strategic priorities and initiatives for all the East Suffolk towns collectively or on an individual town basis. The research will be used to support East Suffolk Council’s strategic direction regarding town’s centres and will be used to influence decisions and interventions through the following services: Planning, Economic development and regeneration, Assets, Active communities and Housing. The team responsible for the research have met with members of the Town Council, Halesworth Business Connections, Halesworth Tourism Group and the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group. The Town Council will consider the suggested methodology for conducting the research at the next monthly meeting on 3rd June.

Halesworth in Bloom Competition

Halesworth in Bloom is once again on the look out for beautiful front gardens to celebrate at their awards ceremony later this year, but this year they are seeking your help so that they do not miss any hidden gems. If you spot a garden which catches your eye, or you are particularly proud of your own plot this year, please fill in a voting form. You may nominate as many gardens as you like, and all entries will be viewed and considered by an expert panel of judges, with one being awarded the accolade of Front Garden of the Year 2019! Voting forms can be obtained from the Library or in the Community News, so keep your eyes open and get voting for your favourites.

Town Sign Refurbishment
